FARLIN HALSEY

PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

With over 25 years of executive leadership experience in the high-technology electronics industry, Farlin Halsey brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Hemisphere. Serving in a range of executive officer and senior management capacities, he has extensive proven experience in GNSS OEM sales market segments including construction, agriculture, survey and mapping, GIS, automotive, personal (mobile) navigation, handheld devices, application software, and electronic components and modules.

Prior to joining Hemisphere, Mr. Halsey’s executive leadership positions included President and CEO of RF Monolithics, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wireless connectivity products used in integrated circuits, certified modules, and machine-to-machine applications. He facilitated the sale of the company to Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., where he most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Murata Electronics Americas.

Previously, Mr. Halsey held executive positions at NovAtel, Inc., including Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Alliances and Vice President of Marketing; roles in which he was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of several companies, and developed the company’s successful OEM business strategy. He later played a key role in positioning the company prior to its sale to Hexagon AB. Among other roles preceding his executive leadership at NovAtel, Mr. Halsey held several marketing and sales management positions at Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc. for the North American market.

DR. MICHAEL WHITEHEAD

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Dr. Whitehead leads the development of advanced GPS products, including centimeter-level positioning and attitude determination systems. He is the author of numerous patents related to GPS. Prior to joining Hemisphere GNSS, Dr. Whitehead worked at Hemisphere GPS (now AgJunction, Inc.). Before joining Hemisphere GPS, Dr. Whitehead was Senior Scientist at Satloc, Inc. Dr. Whitehead implemented virtually all the algorithms and associated software for a wide area differential GPS network (WADGPS), providing real-time, sub-meter position corrections to GPS users in the field. Dr. Whitehead also served in similar capacities with IPEC/Athens Corporation and General Dynamics.

Dr. Whitehead holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Honors, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

RANDY NOLAND

VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Industry veteran Randy Noland serves as Vice President of Global Sales & Business Development and oversees Hemisphere’s global sales organization.

Throughout his career, spanning more than 30 years of proven experience in the GNSS OEM, GIS, and machine control markets, Mr. Noland has acquired a wealth of industry expertise and knowledge.

Before joining Hemisphere, Mr. Noland was the Vice President of Business Development & Marketing at Carlson Software, Inc. Before Carlson Software, Mr. Noland held several Sales and Marketing positions with Topcon Positioning Systems and Trimble Navigation, Ltd.

Randy was the Co-Founder and Managing Editor of the popular print and online publication, Machine Control Magazine and Machine Control Online.

SHELLEY CHEN

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE

Shelley Chen is responsible for all functional accounting back office operations and financial reporting. Mrs. Chen brings an extensive range of operational expertise; a strong financial background and in-depth knowledge of international business in technology.

Previously, Mrs. Chen worked for Insight Enterprises, a $5B public company, where she was instrumental in the growth and development of the professional services management group. As Finance Manager, Mrs. Chen managed all financial and administrative activity for the IT services business unit. Prior to joining Insight Enterprises, Mrs. Chen spent several years in finance and operations, serving as Operations Controller, at a wholesale distribution company and Accounting Manager for a manufacturing company.

Beginning her accounting career at Motorola Semiconductor in Hong Kong, Mrs. Chen progressed to diverse roles within the company. In 2000 she moved to Arizona, USA with Motorola in their Freescale Semiconductor sector and continued with them for another 7 years. By working in different industries and multinational companies, she gained solid experiences in operations and finance.

A graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Mrs. Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and is a Certified and Chartered Accountant in the UK. She is also fellow member of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA) in the UK. Additionally, Mrs. Chen received her Master of Business Administration from WP Carey Business School of Arizona State University in 2004.

CURTIS ANDERSON

SENIOR DIRECTOR, ENGINEERING

Curtis Anderson leads Hemisphere’s product development team creating world leading positioning products. Mr. Anderson has over 25 years of technical leadership experience primarily in GNSS. Prior to joining Hemisphere, Mr. Anderson was the Director of Product Development at XSENSOR Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of pressure imaging sensors and electronics.

Previously, Mr. Anderson was the Vice President of OEM Product Development at Nexteq Navigation Corporation, and held several key executive positions at NovAtel, Inc. including Vice President of OEM Product Development, Vice President of Machine Control, and Vice President of Aerospace and Defence. Mr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

MILES WARE

VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING & GLOBAL CUSTOMER CARE

Miles Ware is the Director of Marketing at Hemisphere GNSS, with responsibilities including the oversight of marketing programs, brand management, and the company’s global marketing strategy to accelerate customer adoption of its GNSS-based positioning technology.

Mr. Ware has more than 20 years of experience in the GNSS OEM and GIS markets with domain expertise in the machine control, automotive, and agriculture sectors. Throughout his career Mr. Ware has acquired a wealth of geospatial expertise and knowledge.

Prior to joining Hemisphere, Mr. Ware served as a field applications engineering manager with Trimble Navigation, Ltd. Before Trimble Navigation, Ltd., Mr. Ware held several technical and marketing positions with LoJack Corporation, a leading provider of wireless tracking and recovery systems for mobile assets.

Mr. Ware’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive, and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach.

JEFFREY FARRAR

GENERAL MANAGER, OUTBACK GUIDANCE

Jeffrey Farrar brings an abundance of positioning technology industry expertise and knowledge to Hemisphere. With more than 27 years of proven experience in the GNSS OEM agriculture sales market, he has spent his entire career within different forms of the AgJunction, Inc. organization, a designer and manufacturer of precision agriculture hardware and software solutions (formerly Hemisphere GPS, Inc. and RHS, Inc.) based out of Hiawatha, KS, USA. During his tenure, Mr. Farrar was instrumental to the launch and development of the Outback Guidance product line for the global agriculture marketplace.

Prior to joining Hemisphere, Mr. Farrar’s executive leadership positions included Vice President of Sales for AgJunction. He also served as director and multiple senior management-level positions for both Sales and Marketing for AgJunction, Hemisphere GPS, and RHS. With his extensive knowledge of the agriculture and machine control industries, Mr. Farrar was instrumental in successful factory-installs for strategic OEM accounts worldwide. He has a proven track record of establishing and managing national and international dealer networks for aftermarket products and solutions.

Mr. Farrar holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Western State University in Agriculture Economics and Agronomy and owns and oversees all aspects of a 1000-acre family farm in Robinson, KS, USA.

AMY EBERT

DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

Amy Ebert has over 25 years of diverse human resources (HR) and management experience that spans start-ups and established organizations in both the U.S. and Canada. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting, employee relations, safety, HRIS implementations, change management, HR workflow development, training and development, and benefits compliance & administration. Ms. Ebert has worked in various industries including non-profit, banking, tourism, government, and manufacturing (union and non-union).

Prior to joining Hemisphere, Ms. Ebert was Corporate Divisional HR Manager – West Coast Operations for Lippert Components, Inc., based out of Elkhart, IN, USA. She moved to Arizona in 2015 to manage 13 manufacturing plants. In this role, she aided in all areas of HR, which included training, employee relations, safety knowledge, team building, and company culture. Formerly, Ms. Ebert was the head of HR at Jayco, Inc. in Middlebury, IN, USA where she led a team of 5 HR professionals and 4 team members in Office Services. One of her major accomplishments at Jayco was the implementation of a succession planning program and development of a performance tool. While Ms. Ebert lived in Canada, she worked for Scotiabank for 8 years as an Assistant Manager of Operations in various commercial branches and then for 8 years as the General Manager for The Vancouver Trolley Company where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, along with sales and marketing.

MICHAEL POLINKO

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Michael Polinko brings an abundance of quality, manufacturing and supply chain expertise and knowledge to Hemisphere. With more than 30 years of proven experience in the ISO / TS Quality Systems implementation, certification, auditing, manufacturing and supply chain he has spent his entire career within applicable industries from plastic, aluminum, steel, electronics ( pcb solutions, cables, digital high speed interconnects) , test verification and validation, compliance, operations and continuous improvement. During his tenure, Mr. Polinko was instrumental in certification of all HGNSS divisions to the ISO Quality Management System Standard and development of contract manufacturers and suppliers.

Prior to joining Hemisphere, Mr. Polinko leadership positions included Director of Quality for VPC (Virginia Panel Corporation) who designs, manufactures and markets interconnect solution products for the automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, and telecommunication industries. Prior to this he served as Director of Quality for Neuman Aluminum – Impact Extrusion and Quality Manager for PGI (Polymer Group Incorporated.) With his extensive knowledge of quality, manufacturing, compliance, and supply chain Mr. Polinko has been instrumental in year over year sustainable growth for HGNSS accounts worldwide.

Mr. Polinko holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State in Combined Science (Chemistry / Biology / Physics) and is a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor overseeing all aspects of HGNSS Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and currently based out of Scottsdale, Arizona USA.
